It contains groups of ice particles called snow crystals. These crystals grow from water droplets in cold clouds.

Snow reflects all the colors; no it doesn’t absorb, transmit, or scatter any singlecolor or wavelength more than any other. The “color” of all the light wavelengths combined equally is white. So all the colors coming out are the same colors that go in, combining to make white light.

A snowflake consists of roughly 10¹⁹ water molecules, which are added to its core at different rates and in different patterns, depending on the changing temperature and humidity within the atmosphere that the snowflake falls through on its way to the ground. As a result, snowflakes vary among themselves, while following similar patterns.
